Tagged?

Well I have to admit I had to check into this tagging business! I have been blogging for two years this August and I am always learning something new. Angie tagged me so here are my 7 facts about myself. The only problem I have is that I don't know 7 people who have not been tagged already.

1. I can wiggle my ears.

2. My husband and I have known each other since I was 16 and he was 21 (don't tell my children!)

3. My husband taught me how to whistle and for the longest time I could only whistle by sucking in air.

4. I pray that someday there would be a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. My youngest sister Patti has it and battles daily with it.

5. Ray and I are having so much fun being empty nesters. We married very young and started our family as soon as we had purchased a home. Needless to say we didn't have a lot of time for us in those early years but we are making up for lost time. I would love to share with all my young married friends that the most important thing in your relationship with your husband is to keep each other the priority in your lives. Your spouse should be numero uno! It will pay off for both of you later on when your children have grown and left your home for theirs.

6. The first car I drove was a lime green Maverick! That was in 1973. It was a beaut!

7. I know how to drive a Kubota Commercial Tractor with a front loader and rear scraper.

Some of those are pretty random!

I tag Patty Fuller!

Emily and her baby!

Posted by Picasa Emily is going to be a big sister! She loves taking care of her babies and I just know she will be a little helper to her mommy and daddy. Teresa and Jeremy are expecting November 27th! We are so excited for them and their family. Tonight Emily and I got to tuck each other in bed over the phone! It was so fun. She put me on speaker phone and we brushed our teeth, got our jammies on and even sung bedtime songs. She is such a cutie. We counted numbers and even Papa counted to her in Spanish! Becca - Southern California Academy of Sciences Conference April 2008

Becca is working on her Masters in Biology at CSUF. This is her “Poster” that she presented at the Southern California Academy of Sciences Conferences in April, 2008.
She was presenting the results of her research that she began in 2006 that examined the effects of disturbance of biological soil crusts on the emergence of exotic plants in California sage scrub. Her results will assist land managers’ efforts to control exotic invasions in this threatened habitat by including biological soil crusts as a ecological structure that inhibits exotic invasions and a component of overall ecosystem health. Biological invasions are the second greatest threat to biodiversity loss after habitat destruction.
Good Luck Sweetie!

Small Changes

I just want to thank Claire so much for sharing with me about "Leelou layouts". I was really nervous about trying to change from my old boring one. I was really worried I would lose some of my special touches! It was super simple and such a delight when you open a new window to view it! Hope you like it! Thanks again! You are a sweetie and so patient!!!

It is the decor that ties all the flowers, plants, shrubs, trees of the gardens together. These were just a few of the wonderful accents that were added to the gardens to complete them.
